Sand Pine

Sand Pine - Pinus clausa

The Florida native that started it all! Sand pines are found in the white sugar sand regions of the Florida panhandle. Their shorter stature and heavily branched structure made them undesireable for timber but a perfect pick for bonsai! Unlike other southern pines, the sand pine’s needles are only 1-2 inches in length! We treat this double flush pine much like the traditional Japanese Black Pine. Hardy USDA zones 7-9.

Misc. Pines

We’re always on the lookout for a good bonsai candidate and have collected many trees exhibiting desirable characteristics. This group is primarily comprised of loblolly, spruce pine, pond pines, and their hybrids.
